Q: How does Ambassador’s Dental Discount Health Plan work?

A: Using Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plan is easy! Simply fill out the membership application online or call our 24/7 customer service, pay the membership fee and you're ready to go. We are here for you, same day, no waiting. Customer service is 24/7. The membership becomes effective immediately.  You will receive an email confirmation with your Dental Discount Card Number right away. You can even use your membership the day that you enroll in the plan.

Q: How do discount dental plans differ from dental insurance plans?

A: Discount dental health plans are an affordable solution for both individuals and groups looking for dental health care savings. Below is a comparison guide between discount dental plans and dental insurance to help you make an informed decision.

Q: What if I already have Dental Insurance or What if I am covered but my family is not?

A: Even if you already have dental insurance, the discounts offered by Ambassador' s discount dental plans may be used along with your dental insurance for even more savings on your dental care. Adding family to your employer-sponsored plan may be expensive and unnecessary, especially when you consider the cost of the premiums. Click here for examples of your savings.

Q: Are cosmetic dental procedures, dental implants and braces discounted in the Dental Discount Health Plan?


A: Yes! Just present your Dental Discount Card or have your Participating Dental Provider verify your membership online or by calling our 24/7 customer service center. All dental procedures will be discounted according to the Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plan reduced fee schedule. Any procedure not listed on the fee schedule will be discounted by 15% off your dentist's usual fees.


Q: Are any pre-existing conditions excluded on this plan?


A: No, all pre-existing conditions are accepted without limitation.


Q: How soon will my discount dental plan activate?


A: The Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plan activates immediately. If you have enrolled at the office of your provider, they have verified your benefits during the enrollment process. You may ask them to print a copy of your temporary membership card but that is not necessary. Once the provider has verified your membership they will honor the fee schedule of the plan. The provider can verify your membership at any time by calling our 24/7 customer service center. You can also login using the same email and password used at the time of your enrollment to reprint your membership ID card. You may order a replacement card from customer service at any time for a nominal fee. 

Q: When can I start receiving discounts after enrolling in the Dental Discount Health Plan?


A: Your dental discount health plan can be utilized the same day of activation. Just show the participating dental provider your temporary Member ID Card and they will honor the discounted rate according to the fee schedule of your plan.


Q: How do I find an Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plans participating dentist?

To search for a dentist within a specific “Dental Plan/Network,” select from drop-down menu (optional)

To search for a specific dentist, enter the dentist’s last name in the space available (optional)

Change "Maximum Miles Away" to desired distance, or leave at default setting (optional)

Click the "Search" button

Q: How can I get my dentist to become an Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plan provider?


A: Ambassador is always looking for quality Dentists to add to our already great network. If you are currently seeing a dentist or dental specialist that is not an Ambassador Dental Plans provider, simply call or email our office with their contact information and we will send them information immediately. Q: Can I use this Dental Discount Health Plan as a Dental Supplemental insurance?


A: Yes, all procedures that your dental insurance does not cover such as cosmetic procedures can be discounted with Ambassador Dental Plans. In addition, once a yearly or lifetime maximum on traditional dental insurance has been reached, Ambassador Dental Discount Plan can be used to discount any additional dental work with no maximums. Please note: this Dental Discount Health Plan is NOT insurance.  Many of our members find that the savings under Ambassador Dental Plans exceeds the savings they would enjoy with a premiums plus payment dental plan.  Click here for an example of savings.

Q: Does Ambassador Dental Discount Health Plan have age requirements?


A: The primary member must be at least 18 years old. Dependents on a family plan may be of any age. There are no age maximums, the Dental Discount plan has no cancellation date due to age.


Q: Can I purchase two (2) discount plans to maximize savings?


A: No, members cannot use two plans in the same office at the same time. The savings offered by two discount plans cannot be coordinated. Patients are able to coordinate Dental Insurance and Dental Supplemental Discount Health Plan benefits. Please present both your insurance card and your membership card upon check in to coordinate your benefits with your provider.


Q: Do I receive discounts if I see an out of network dentist?

A: Members must see a participating dentist to receive the discounts associated with their discount dental plan. When visiting a provider not currently enrolled in the Ambassador Dental Discount network, members will not receive discounts on dental care. However, if a dental care provider would like to join a network, they may contact our customer service center. We can usually approve a new provider in a 1-3 days. To nominate a provider click here. Please be sure to present your card each and every time you check in with your provider to verify the office is active on our network. Q: How do I receive my Dental Discount plan membership information?

A: To access your membership information online, simply log in to the Member’s Area with the email address and password entered during the membership process. Once logged in to your Member’s Area, you will be able to view and print your membership card. If applicable to your plan, your Member’s Area will also include a complete fee schedule and information on additional discounts. Members may also request to receive their membership package in the mail by emailing or calling at any time. Re-placement of membership cards will incur a nominal charge which may be billed to a credit card.

Q: Does DentalPlans.com offer payment plans for the membership fee?

A: We currently only accept payment in full for annual individual plan membership fees. Ambassador Dental Plans is working to minimize the cost of the plans and maximize customer benefits. Accepting payments on a monthly basis increases the cost of processing, thus making the plans more expensive. However, we do accept monthly payment plans for Group Dental Discount Plans.
